We have exciting news to share with you regarding our efforts to safeguard students' mental health at school. The John's Safe Place nonprofit, which has established numerous "safe space" rooms at schools throughout Northeast Ohio, is one that we've previously mentioned to you.
One of the newest rooms at Clearview High School in Lorain was unveiled on Thursday night. These spaces are intended to be a place where students may unwind, gather their thoughts, and avoid feeling stressed.
The charity was founded as a result of the founder's son John's 2017 suicide.
John's former high school, Fairview Park High School, put in the first room.
